Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact on students' academic journeys as a dedicated Math Teacher working with high school learners. This full-time, contract role begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, offering an enriching experience during the school year. You'll work in a supportive, forward-thinking academic environment near Westland, MI, focusing on helping students gain confidence and mastery in math.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Math Endorsement (please attach documentation with application) Previous experience teaching mathematics at the high school level is highly desirable Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills Ability to engage and motivate diverse learners Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging math instruction to high school students, adapting lessons to meet varied learning needs Assess student understanding and tailor interventions to support academic success Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff for the development and implementation of effective curriculum strategies Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and participate in parent-teacher meetings as needed Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect What to
