POSITION SUMMARY
The Title I Non-public Reading and Math Interventionist will travel to and provide supplemental instruction to Parkway students that attend qualifying non-public schools. The position is a part time position funded through Title I funds between 5-15 hours per week (mostly during the school day) depending on student eligibility. The schedule would be developed collaboratively with Parkway and the nonpublic schools and could include support for students during and outside of school hours based on need and availability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in non-public schools. Travel between schools will be required. Mileage between schools will be reimbursed per district policy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
CERTIFICATION:
Current certification(s) covering Kindergarten through 5th grade issued by Missouri Department of Education (DESE) required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Broad knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment; Extensive knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards; Knowledge of various instructional delivery models; Knowledge of research-based and evidence-based instructional strategies. The Title I Non-Public Reading Interventionist is paid for 100% by Title I funds. Should funds no longer be available or the non-public consultation results in changes, the position may be eliminated to meet the needs of our non-public students.
