Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum
  • Teach high school students in various subjects, including discrete math, microbiology, genetics, and special education
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and academic growth
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
  • Conduct research in a laboratory setting to enhance teaching methods and curriculum
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching certification/license
  • Experience working with high school students in a classroom setting
  • Strong knowledge of the subjects being taught
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
