Job Description

The NYU Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science is the center for advanced training and research in the mathematical sciences. Each year a limited number of Courant Instructorships in the Department of Mathematics are offered to postdoctoral scientists. All areas of Mathematics are considered. These appointments are for a maximum of three (3) years and carry a light teaching load of one course per semester. They are primarily for recent Ph.D.'s, and candidates must have a degree in mathematics or an affiliated field. In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary of this position is a set amount of $101,766. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field.
