Rocket Club Math is a math enrichment program for children from PreK through middle school. We're looking for a reliable, organized Director's Assistant to support day-to-day operations at our Upper East Side location, act as the main contact on the Director's days off, and teach classes for additional hours.

approximately 8 hours per week, spanning two consecutive days (Sundays and Mondays)
Instructor:
flexible additional hours, minimum 5 and up to about 20 per week, separate from the Director's Assistant hours
Pay:
$22/hour Start date: As soon as possible Director's Assistant Responsibilities (about 8 hours/week) Serve as the main on-site contact when the Director is out, including opening and closing the center, answering phones, and handling emergencies or instructor call-outs Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including student records and enrollment materials Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the center Keep classroom and office supplies stocked and organized Instructor Responsibilities (flexible, 5 to 20 hours/week, separate from the above) Teach Rocket Club Math classes for students in PreK through middle school Prepare for and lead classes using Rocket Club curriculum and materials Qualifications Experience working with children or in an education or childcare setting Comfortable teaching math to children from PreK through middle school Clean, tidy, and comfortable handling regular cleaning tasks Highly organized, with strong attention to detail Good common sense and sound judgment, including in unexpected situations Customer service skills, with the ability to handle parent questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and calmly Clear written communication for handling parent and instructor emails Comfortable using software such as Brightwheel, or able to learn it quickly Reliable and punctual Available two consecutive days per week, Sundays and Mondays, plus at least 5 flexible instructor hours per week
Pay:
