Lighten Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated AP Calculus AB/BC Teacher to join our academic team. We are looking for a strong mathematics educator who can help high school students build a solid understanding of calculus concepts and prepare effectively for the AP Calculus AB/BC exams. Responsibilities Teach AP Calculus AB and/or BC to high school students. Develop clear, structured lessons covering core AP Calculus concepts and problem-solving strategies. Help students strengthen conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Prepare students for AP-style questions, free-response questions (FRQs), and exam-based problem solving. Track student progress and provide individualized feedback and support. Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the academic team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Previous experience teaching AP Calculus AB and/or BC strongly preferred. Strong understanding of AP Calculus curriculum and College Board exam expectations. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Experience working with high school students. Ability to explain challenging mathematical concepts clearly and effectively. Teaching certification is preferred but not required for candidates with strong teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching both AP Calculus AB and BC. Experience preparing students for the AP Calculus exam and FRQs. Strong academic or teaching background in mathematics. Experience working with students at different ability levels. Proven ability to help students improve their understanding and performance in calculus. Pay:
