Lighten Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated High School Math Teacher/Tutor to join our growing academic team. Responsibilities Teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 Provide clear, structured instruction and help students build strong mathematical foundations Develop students' problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Prepare students for school exams, Regents, and other standardized assessments SAT Math and/or ACT Math teaching experience is a strong plus Adapt instruction to students with different academic levels and learning needs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field preferred NY State Teaching License preferred, but not required Strong teaching or tutoring experience in high school mathematics will be considered Experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 SAT/ACT Math teaching experience is highly preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Passion for teaching and helping students achieve academic growth Compensation $35-$75/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Part-time and flexible scheduling available. Opportunities for additional classes and long-term teaching assignments are available for strong candidates.

Pay:

$35.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 14.0 per week
