Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education with current Ohio Teaching Certificate/ License, preferably with Reading endorsement. Knowledge of and ability to teach middle school age children. Computer literate with ability to successfully work with Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar programs.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Experience gained in various operating units of the school system. Ability to perform duties requiring strictest confidentiality. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Duties:
Instruct students in prescribed afterschool curriculum for middle school Reading and Math. Plan and submit weekly lessons as prescribed by District and Program Director. Attend and participate in up to 20 hours of professional development. Supervise activity leaders to maximize student one on one time. Collect data for and from program students. Administer surveys as per grant requirements. Attend at least one field trip during the program year. Maintain ability to perform duties requiring strictest confidentiality. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren Board of Education. Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor of Community Outreach, 21st Century Community Learning Center Site Coordinator, Superintendent/CEO or designee.
Supervision Received:
Explicit oral and written instructions are received from a designated Supervisor for carrying out the operations to be performed.
Program Dates:
September, 2026 through May, 2027
Program Schedule:
Two (2) hours a day, two (2) days Language Arts, two (2) days
Math Program Times:
Lincoln/McGuffey PK-8
Sites:
3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Jefferson/Willard PK-8
Sites:
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Salary:
