Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Math Interventionist to join our dedicated faculty. This position requires a passion for mathematics and the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable and engaging manner to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematical principles and a commitment to helping students achieve both academic success and a deeper appreciation for math.Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with state standards and fosters critical thinking and problemsolving skills Utilize various teaching methods and technological tools to enhance student learning and engagement in mathematicsStudent Assessment:
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding of mathematical concepts Provide personalized feedback and support to students, adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs and abilitiesClassroom Management:
Create a positive, organized, and productive learning environment that is conducive to learning and suitable for performing mathematical tasks Maintain discipline and encourage good practice with respect to punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homeworkProfessional Development:
Stay current with the latest educational research and pedagogical strategies in mathematics education Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and maintain subject matter expertiseCollaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other teachers, school administrators, and the math department to discuss student progress and curriculum effectiveness Engage with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their children's progress and ways they can support their learning at homeExtracurricular Involvement:
Sponsor or participate in mathrelated extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions Encourage and support students in applying their mathematical knowledge in practical and realworld scenariosQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education with a concentration in Mathematics, or a related field Valid PA teaching certification with an endorsement in Mathematics Proven experience as a Math Teacher at the middle school or high school level Strong command of mathematical concepts and a passion for teaching mathematics Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsClearances:
