Job Description

At River Rock Academy, we provide specialized education and counseling for students facing behavioral and academic challenges. River Rock Academy is seeking a dedicated Interventionist to provide targeted academic support in reading and mathematics through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). In this role, you'll work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to help students overcome learning challenges, build academic confidence, and achieve meaningful growth. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree required; Pennsylvania Special Education Certification preferred. At least 2 years of experience working in an educational setting. Knowledge of MTSS, evidence-based literacy and mathematics interventions, and progress monitoring practices. Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff. What You'll Do Provide evidence-based reading and math interventions to K-12 students in individual and small-group settings. Use assessment data and progress monitoring to identify student needs, group students appropriately, and adjust instruction. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and
MTSS/IEP
teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans. Coach and support instructional staff through modeling, consultation, and professional development on best practices in literacy, mathematics, and MTSS. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress while contributing to a positive, collaborative learning environment.
