All of its graduates go on to attend a four-year college. We're looking for a math teacher who can help keep that bar high and push it higher. These are small classes where you actually get to know your students. What You'll Teach Honors Algebra II Honors Geometry Precalculus Calculus All courses are taught in person as full classroom courses. What You'll Do Plan and teach lessons that build real understanding, not just memorized steps Follow a clear, rigorous curriculum aligned with college-prep standards Give regular feedback through homework, quizzes, and tests, and adjust teaching based on results Prepare students for the ACT, the SAT, and college-level math Support students who are behind and challenge the ones who are ready for more Keep grades current and communicate with parents about progress Work with the math department to keep the sequence consistent from grade to grade Take part in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and school events What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in mathematics or math education (Master's strongly preferred) Tennessee teaching license in secondary math, or eligible to get one At least [2-3] years of high school math teaching experience Experience teaching Calculus and Precalculus strongly preferred Strong command of math through Calculus Comfortable with Desmos, graphing calculators, and online learning tools Clear communicator who can explain the same idea three different ways Respect for the school's Islamic values and a diverse student community Nice to Have Dual enrollment or college teaching experience Interest in leading math team, tutoring, or ACT prep sessions
