00 per 9 months Open Date 11/10/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Effective Date of Employment Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Electrician Program Instructor is responsible for providing classroom instruction, distance learning instruction, and practical shop experience to prepare students for employment in a variety of jobs in the field of Electrical Trades. The Instructor will teach courses related to the core skills used by electricians in residential and commercial settings. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Successful college teaching experience is required. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success. Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities. Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in the discipline. Five (5) years industry related work experience.

• OR•Ten (10) years of work experience in the electrical trades field.

An action plan to complete an Associate's degree within 36 months of employment. Preferred Qualifications Successful teaching or vocational training experience. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas). Job Duties Job Duty Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course outcomes within the College grade and grade appeals procedures. Review, evaluate, recommend, and effectively use student learning materials Job Duty Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the Course Syllabus Guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of the content, goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work. Accept special assignments occasionally. Participate in scheduled institutional activities which include convocation and graduation ceremonies. Participate in department, divisional, and College meetings. Participate in College-related activities such as registration and selection of faculty. Participate in activities required to maintain program and College accreditation standards. Participate in the College planning process by assisting in the formulation of goals and objectives and budget priorities. Meet professional assignments in accordance with the College calendar.
