Job Description

Abacus Teacher Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic Abacus Teacher to join our team! You'll introduce students (grades 1-8) to the world of mental math through the Best Brains Abacus curriculum. You will help students develop strong calculation skills, focus, confidence, and problem-solving abilities through fun and engaging lessons. Lesson plans and materials are provided — no extensive prep work required! Responsibilities
  • Teach Abacus and mental math concepts in small group sessions
  • Use the Best Brains Abacus curriculum to guide students through structured and engaging lessons
  • Help students improve calculation speed, accuracy, concentration, and logical thinking
  • Support students as they build confidence and develop strong math foundations
  • Provide positive feedback and encouragement to motivate student growth
  • Maintain an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with center staff to ensure a great learning experience for students and families Qualifications
  • Strong math skills and comfort working with elementary and middle school students
  • Prior experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or working with children preferred
  • Background in education, mathematics, or a related field is a plus
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Patient, reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping children learn
