POSITION TITLE
Part-Time Dual Credit Facilitator

Primary Purpose:
Provide instructional support to students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification Valid Texas Teaching Certificate, preferred 48 or more semester hours from an accredited college or university, preferred Special Knowledge/Skills Desire to work with students of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds General knowledge of academic subjects, curriculum, and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support Work cooperatively with teachers to present curricula as needed. Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policy, and administrative regulations. Use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process, as applicable. Assist students in analyzing and improving study methods and habits. Serve as a positive role model for students. Assist in creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Manage student behavior as instructed by the teacher and in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Communication Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members. Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
