Mathematics (three classes); at least two other classes for a full-time position

Our faculty members serve not only as educators but as mentors and role models in Christian living. Job Summary We are seeking a committed and spiritually grounded Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and a heart for ministry, guiding students in both academic achievement and spiritual maturity. This role includes teaching arithmetic, pre-algebra, Algebra I, and introductory geometry, with biblical integration throughout. If the full-time position is desired, two other middle school classes (science and/or English) would be included in the teaching schedule. Responsibilities Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with Christian values and curriculum standards (Abeka and Virginia Standards of Learning) Integrate Scripture and biblical worldview into daily lessons and classroom discussions Foster a Christ-honoring classroom environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and personal growth Assess student understanding through regular quizzes, tests, and projects Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and spiritual development Participate in prayer, chapel services, and school-wide spiritual activities Collaborate with fellow teachers to support cross-curricular learning and discipleship Serve in student drop-off and/or pick-up traffic control Qualifications Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active involvement in a local church Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (required) Teaching certification or equivalent experience in Christian education (preferred) Familiarity with Christian curricula such as Abeka, BJU Press, or similar (preferred) Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills Ability to model Christian character and mentor students spiritually and academically
Schedule & Compensation Schedule:
Daily; three classes, and a minimum of one study hall per weekday
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience and qualifications
