The Role We're looking for a Math Teacher who builds confident, logical thinkers — someone who believes in mastery-based instruction and wants real ownership over how it's delivered, not a script to follow .
You will:
Teach across Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry , Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and AP Math as assigned Deliver instruction through the Academy's Independent Learner model Design problem-based learning experiences that build number sense and reasoning Use Acellus, MAP Growth, and classroom data to personalize instruction and drive interventions Prepare students for AP exams, SAT , ACT , and college-level coursework Build genuine relationships with student-athletes and hold them to high academic expectations alongside a demanding training schedule Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field Strong instructional design and classroom management skills Experience in college-preparatory instruction preferred Virginia teaching license preferred but not required A genuine interest in working with student-athletes and understanding the demands of their dual academic-athletic schedule Why Gillion?
