Department Chair, Mathematics and Physics Division:
Mathematics & Physics, College of Science, Engineering & Mathematics Duties/Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate mathematics courses as assigned (such as developmental mathematics, college algebra, pre-calculus, or general education mathematics).
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and instructional materials.
- Develop and administer quizzes, exams, assignments, and other assessments.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
- Hold office hours or scheduled student support sessions as required.
- Respond promptly to student questions and provide academic guidance.
- Submit grades and required reports by university deadlines.
- Utilize the Canvas learning management system and instructional technology.
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Follow university policies and departmental procedures.
- Participate in faculty meetings or professional development activities as requested
