Exempt Description The start date will be Spring (January) 2027. Transcripts MUST be uploaded to move forward The primary function of this position is to instruct college-level and pre-college level mathematics and statistics courses as well as advising students. Examples of Duties Teach mathematics courses as assigned (15) hours weekly Maintain office hours (10) hours weekly Serve as an academic advisor to students Stay current with today's technology: Ability to use current version of Office Current Learning Management System (Canvas) Ability to use smart stations Ability to use livestreaming technology Graphing Utilities Ability to use Lighthouse/Banner/Canvas Registration in office Student Advising Class rosters Research student placement history Student schedules Post grades within the specified time frame MyMathLab Serve as Course ManagerOTHER DUTIES
Other Professional Duties (10 hours weekly) may include but are not limited to: Course Development Textbook selection Assessment Club Sponsorship Professional Development Division Meetings Covering Classes Class Preparation Collaborating with other divisions Committees Staying current with teaching strategies Community Involvement Involvement with grants Use Computer Lab Control Software Incorporate copier, fax and scanner into course management Course assessments Qualifications Requires a Master of Science Degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics from an institutional accredited university.
