//tippie.uiowa.edu/about/accounting-department The Position The Department of Accounting within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one Tenured Faculty Position in Accounting at the level of Associate or Full Professor starting Fall 2027. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position is 100% time with benefits. The Department The Tippie Department of Accounting ranks among the top 20 accounting programs at U.S. public universities for research productivity based on both the UT Dallas and BYU Accounting Research rankings. Iowa's PhD program ranks 11th in the world according to the BYU Accounting Research Rankings, with PhD alumni teaching at universities around the world. Education Requirement:
An earned doctorate.
Required Qualifications:
Evidence of a high level of teaching expertise at the undergraduate or graduate level in accounting. A demonstrated record of publishing significant research in top-tier accounting journals consistent with tenure and promotion at the Associate or Full rank, and evidence of continuing research productivity.
Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in teaching Accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Demonstrated success in working with doctoral students. Research expertise in capital markets is preferred, although outstanding candidates in other areas of accounting will also be considered.
