Exempt Bargaining Unit 0 Description Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,750.00 per course. Governors State University's College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Division of Arts & Letters . Interested applicants should submit a faculty profile and provide the following materials for review: Curriculum vitae Cover letter Transcripts List of professional references If available, applicants are encouraged to include a sample syllabus or documentation of a current or recently taught course. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjunct appointments are instructional in nature, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and not included in membership of the Faculty Senate. Essential Responsibilities The program seeks qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach courses. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Master's degree. Experience teaching undergraduate courses at an accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree. Experience teaching online at an accredited institution.
