A Mathematics Professor teaches foundational mathematical ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

Job Description:
The Department of Mathematics and Physics seeks applicants interested in teaching mathematics and statistics courses at the introductory level. Class sizes are small and students have access to free tutoring and other support on campus.
Requirements:
Faculty are required to teach introductory physics to a wide variety of students. They should have a strong background in physics or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is preferred, but candidates with significant graduate level coursework will be considered. Teaching experience is not required but preferred. At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
