With a strong focus on interdisciplinary research and teaching, the School of Liberal Education has recognized strengths in the areas of Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Economics, Philosophy, Literary and Cultural Studies, in addition to Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics and Humanities. The school offers undergraduate programs that allow students to gain rigorous interdisciplinary training and opportunities to complement their research activities, build networks/professional references, and advance their career aspirations. We are inviting applications from highly research-active candidates for the positions of full-time Associate Professor in International Relations. While we welcome applicants from any area of IR/PS, we are particularly interested in applicants with an expertise in areas such international law, international political economy and/or quantitative methodology/ empirical methods. Faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, advising students, participating in faculty colloquia, and academic administration. A Ph.D. (completed or nearing submission) is required at the time of application. Our expectation is that a successful applicant will: 1. Undertake independent high-quality research as well as work actively with existing members to build a strong interdisciplinary community of scholars who are committed to delivering cutting-edge research and innovation 2. Translate research findings into evidence-based practices, programs and policies 3. Remain committed to excellence in teaching
