The Dhanani School of Science and Engineering (DSSE) at HabibUniversity invites applications for open-rank faculty positions in its Integrated Science & Mathematics (iSciM) program . Depending on the credentials, candidates will be considered atAssistant Professor or Associate Professor ranks as appropriate. The program seeks talented faculty who are passionate about teaching andstudent learning, and who are excited about the challenge of reimagining teaching Mathematics at the undergraduate level in line with globaldevelopments in the field. Habib University seeks outstanding student mentors who will be involved in the lives of students throughmentoring, student support, enrolment initiatives, and other activities related to the undergraduate education experience. Fallappointments begin August 1st and Spring appointments begin January 1st.

Qualifications :

Candidates must have completed ormust be in the final stages of a doctoral degree in the relevant field from a leading global institution recognized for its strength in thisfield. The ideal candidate will possess excellent teaching and scholarly skills, will be able to work with a diverse population of studentsand colleagues, will enjoy influencing the intellectual growth of their students, will be effective in institutional service, will bepassionate about undergraduate research and is excited to work with colleagues across disciplines. Experience studying in and/or working ina liberal arts environment will be an advantage.

Responsibilities :

Primary responsibilities include: teaching foundationalundergraduate courses in mathematics, active engagement in institutional service, professional activities, student mentorship, curriculumplanning, and review. The annual teaching load is 5 three- or four-credit courses. Once onboard, faculty should also anticipatesupporting the Habib Liberal Core, a core component of our Liberal Arts education containing four foundational divisions - Humanities;Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing; Social Sciences; and Language, Expression, and Design. As part of this commitment to astudent-centric, interdisciplinary curriculum, faculty members in mathematics are expected to contribute to the teaching and delivery of HLCcourses within division of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Computing, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curricularcoherence, academic rigor, and an equitable learning experience for all students.
