Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. We develop empowered learners through agency, purpose, and tenacity. In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are actively building a team that shares our belief that with rigorous academics, high-quality instruction, and character development, all students can excel in high school, college, and life.

To achieve our vision, we seek K-3 Teachers who meet one of the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 1-2+ years of teaching experience (Alabama certification preferred) with a proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth or Bachelor's degree with a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a desire for growth in a feedback-driven, supportive environment.

The salary range for this position is between $48,747 and $61,000. Salary is competitive and aligned to experience and internal equity.

DRIVE MEANINGFUL RESULTS
Drive at least 1 year of academic growth for all scholars through standards-aligned, data-driven instruction Use weekly mastery data and exit tickets to adjust instruction in real time Implement Science of Reading-aligned literacy practices with fidelity Build a classroom culture where 100% of scholars are engaged and meet behavioral expectations
