Job Description
Kitoodle Creators is looking for a part-time teacher to teach children ages 3 to 12 creative maker classes. For our STEAM classes, children learn STEAM-based concepts, processes and tools. They experiment and prototype, and they build purposeful projects. Sample projects include craft resin blocks, light up displays (using LED), worm composts, solar cars and more. In our cooking classes, Makers experiment, taste and create tasty foods as they learn about science. Past projects include soy milk, granola, ketchup, empanadas, dumplings, jam, Corszetti pasta and more. All curriculum and materials are provided. The schedule for the Fall is as follows: Wednesdays 3:30 to 5:30 in Covina Fridays 9:30am-12:15pm in Arcadia Tuesdays or Thursdays 3:00-6:00 in
Pasadena Qualifications:
- Can pass FBI background clearance
- 2+ years of experience working with children ages 3-12
- Creative and artistic, enjoys making projects
- Knowledge and education of STEM concepts
- Knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisines
- Absolutely loves children and easily engages with them
- Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Is extremely dependable and flexible with a positive attitude
- Has reliable transportation
- Has 12 Early Childhood Education units or is willing to get them if sponsored
