Sports science and biomechanics Engineering design challenges Robotics and coding BlazePod reaction technology Sports statistics and data Force, motion, energy, and physics Teamwork and leadership STEM Replay digital learning Soccer, basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, tennis, golf, and more No advanced STEM background is required—we'll train you on our curriculum and instructional model. Primary Responsibilities Lead engaging Sports STEM Lab lessons for elementary students. Facilitate hands-on STEM investigations, engineering challenges, and movement-based learning activities. Teach foundational sports skills while creating an inclusive environment where every student feels successful. Build positive relationships with students and create a safe, welcoming classroom culture. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and clear expectations. Adapt activities for students with different learning styles and ability levels. Encourage teamwork, communication, confidence, and a growth mindset. Set up and break down program equipment and materials. Complete attendance and basic program documentation. Communicate professionally with Science of Sport staff, school personnel, and enrichment partners. Represent Science of Sport with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity. Ability to confidently facilitate groups of up to 20 students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Interest in STEM education, engineering, technology, robotics, or sports science. Comfortable leading active, movement-based learning experiences. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Requirements Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, or supervising children. Reliable transportation to assigned school sites within the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Ability to attend required onboarding and instructor training. Live Scan background check (required before employment). Current TB clearance (required before employment). Ability to transport program materials as needed. Ability to stand, move, demonstrate activities, and actively participate throughout each class. Ability to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds of equipment.
