Willow Tree Enrichment Center Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-1:30
PM Additional:
Occasional Fridays and weekends for festivals and special events

Additional compensation About Willow Tree Friends of Willow Tree is a Waldorf-inspired enrichment community serving students from TK through 8th grade. We are seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Middle School Learning Coach to join our faculty family. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with middle school students, enjoys being part of a collaborative classroom environment, and can bring both structure and warmth to the school day. The Role The Middle School Learning Coach works closely alongside the classroom teacher to help create a supportive, engaging, and successful learning environment. This person will provide both whole-class support and individualized assistance to students while helping the classroom run smoothly each day. In addition to the Learning Coach responsibilities, this position includes teaching Middle School Math , for which there will be additional compensation . Learning Coach Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support the needs of the class. Provide individualized support to students who need additional academic, organizational, or social-emotional assistance. Help students stay focused, organized, and engaged in their learning. Assist students with understanding directions, completing assignments, and developing independent learning skills. Support classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities. Help prepare classroom materials and learning spaces. Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the classroom teacher. Encourage students with warmth, patience, and respect. Help foster a positive classroom culture where students feel seen, supported, and valued. Communicate regularly and respectfully with the classroom teacher regarding student needs and progress. Assist with classroom cleanup and maintaining an orderly, welcoming learning environment. Support events, festivals, and special activities as needed. Middle School Math Teacher The Learning Coach will also serve as the Middle School Math Teacher , with this teaching responsibility receiving additional compensation .
Responsibilities include:
Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate middle school mathematics lessons. Present mathematical concepts clearly and creatively. Support students with different learning styles and levels of understanding. Provide opportunities for students to practice problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and independent thinking. Assess student understanding and provide appropriate feedback. Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment. Communicate with the classroom teacher regarding student progress and areas where additional support may be helpful. Recess & Outdoor Supervision Our Learning Coaches are active members of our community and participate in recess supervision and outdoor responsibilities .
This includes:
Actively supervising students during recess. Walking and moving throughout the playground for the duration of recess. Helping students navigate social situations and resolve conflicts appropriately. Supporting safe and respectful play and interactions Assisting students who need help during outdoor activities. Setting up, monitoring, and putting away recess equipment. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the day and to actively participate in recess supervision. The position may also require the ability to lift and carry materials and equipment , including recess equipment, classroom supplies, and other items weighing approximately 25-40 pounds as needed. The Person We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is Warm, kind, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with adolescents. Dependable, responsible, and punctual. Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers and other faculty members. Able to build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Flexible and willing to step into whatever role is needed to support the classroom and school community. Organized and able to anticipate classroom needs. Comfortable providing individualized support to students. Confident teaching mathematics at the middle school level. Comfortable being active outdoors and participating in recess supervision. Aligned with the values of a Waldorf-inspired, relationship-centered educational environment . Excited to be part of a small, close-knit faculty community.

Required for festivals, celebrations, and special events. Additional compensation is provided for the Middle School Math teaching responsibilities.
