Overview Join our vibrant team as an After School Teacher and become a vital part of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. In this role, you will facilitate fun and educational activities, promote positive behavior, and support children's social and emotional development. Your energetic approach will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and thrive while ensuring their safety and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through dynamic youth programs and creative engagement. Responsibilities Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety through attentive child supervision and childcare practices Plan and lead engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts, crafts, outdoor play, and educational games Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques and classroom management skills Implement first aid protocols promptly when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to address minor injuries or emergencies Facilitate youth group activities and camp-style experiences that foster teamwork, leadership, and social skills Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development Qualifications Experience working with children in educational, childcare, daycare, babysitting, or camp settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Knowledge of basic first aid protocols is a plus :
CPR, AED
certifications is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead youth programs or facilitate youth group activities effectively Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors positively
Schedule :
part-time, Monday to Friday. 2pm -6pm.(hours may vary slightly based on school schedule) Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage children positively Join us in shaping bright futures!
