    Schedule:
    10 Sessions
    • Work with migrant pre-school students and parents by using parents' primary language as the avenue to develop children's fluency & academic vocabulary in English and Spanish.
    • Pre and post-test administered to four-year-old migrant children with Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test.
    • Work with all family members, but only four-year-old children will be tested.
    • Attend professional development training
    • Other duties may apply Requirements / Qualifications
    • Hold CA Teaching Credential
    • Experience in teaching Literacy Skills to pre-school and/or primary grade children
    • Follow the prescribed curriculum and requirements of the Migrant Family Literacy Program.
    • Attend professional development training provided by the Migrant Education Program regional office.
    • Present material in both Spanish and English
    • Certificated teachers will be paid three hours per session, which includes one hour for instructional preparation. Students and families attend sessions from 5-7 p.m.
    • Attend MESRP Network Meetings from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Mandatory Requirements / Qualifications
    • Hold CA Teaching Credential
    • Experience in teaching Literacy Skills to pre-school and/or primary grade children
