We are looking for dynamic, engaging, and versatile instructors to lead our premier after-school enrichment programs for elementary and transitional kindergarten students in Novato, CA. We need adaptable individuals who can foster curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking—whether guiding young naturalists through wildlife discovery or training future secret agents in STEM skills—while providing a structured, fun, and safe environment! Programs & Descriptions Nature Navigators A hands-on environmental exploration program designed for our youngest learners (grades TK-K). Instructors guide students as they move, explore, and discover how animals move, sense, and adapt to their environments. Through interactive projects, outdoor games, and creative challenges, students explore food chains, ecosystems, plants, and conservation while building observation skills and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Qualifications & Skills The Personality:
High-energy, enthusiastic, and able to motivate elementary and TK students after the school day ends.
The Background:
Experience in elementary education, environmental science, biology, STEM, child development, or a related field.
The Mindset:
A passion for encouraging curiosity, team building, and outdoor learning while maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.
The Soft Skills:
Patience, adaptability, strong classroom management, and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff. Requirements Minimum 2 years of college education. At least 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged children (Grades TK-5). Ability to confidently manage a classroom of up to 20 students. Must pass background checks and a TB test. Reliable transportation to program locations in Novato, CA. Ability to lift and carry program/activity supplies (up to 20 lbs.).
Compensation & Logistics Pay Rate:
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour
