The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment while utilizing differentiated instructional strategies, project-based learning, authentic performance tasks, and varied assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Learners, GATE students, and students with IEPs and 504 Plans. The Middle School English Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, support staff, administrators, and families to promote student achievement and success. Responsibilities include participating in department and grade-level meetings, professional development, the Middle School Advisory Program, Governing Committees, SSPT, 504, and IEP meetings, as well as maintaining accurate student records and communicating regularly regarding student progress.
