We provide a challenging educational environment based on the French national curriculum and the International Baccalaureate framework, enriched by English classes from PS-12th grade.
POSITION OVERVIEW
"La Petite Ecole" is a full-immersion program offered on both the Ashbury and the Sausalito campuses for students 2 years and older. La Petite Ecole follows a curriculum that naturally and gently prepares little ones to enter our Petite Section/PK3 program. In La Petite Ecole, children play and learn together, socialize and interact while fully immersed in the French language, led by a French-speaking teacher and an assistant.Start Date:
August 15th, 2026.Location:
San Francisco or Sausalito (Marin County).Schedule:
8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (26h teaching hours + 1 meeting hour per week).Focus:
Leading a full-immersion program for children ages 2 and older, naturally preparing them for the Petite Section .EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Certification:
ECE credits are a must (Early Childhood Education). Certified by the French Ministry of Education OR a Bachelor's degree with a full teacher preparation program.Experience:
Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a French or bilingual school setting.Visa Requirement:
For J-1 visa sponsorship, candidates must have at least two consecutive years of full-time teaching experience (2024-2026).Language Skills:
Fluency in French is required; very good command of spoken and written English.Soft Skills:
Team player, respectful toward parents and students, and highly energetic. Candidates with 3-25 years related experience in the education field can anticipate an annual salary, ranging from: $76,540 (Teaching Scale 2) to $110,497 (Teaching Scale 1). The salary offered to the successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience in the job, type and years of experience in the industry, education, etc. The Lycée offers a negotiated salary range.
