Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Educator to inspire and guide leaders across various age groups and educational settings. As a Mentor, you will support and inspire students (Leaders) in a mixed-age studio environment. You won't deliver lessons — you'll coach mastery, ask powerful questions, spark curiosity, and guide each Leader to take ownership of their education, while demonstrating self led organization techniques. You will work closely with families and the school community to support each learner's growth and contribute to the culture and vision of Apogee NOCO Hybrid Academy. Perfect for a teacher who is disenfranchised with the current education system, or a homeschooling / stay at home mom, with previous experience with children. •Tuition discounts available for staff. Key Responsibilities Coach students through deep questioning and inquisitive discussion that promotes critical thinking and self-directed learning in a Montessori-like environment. Support project-based learning and help learners set meaningful goals, track progress, and reflect on growth. Facilitate a nurturing, student-centered environment where independence, resilience, and creativity are encouraged. Collaborate with parents and colleagues to align on student goals and community growth. Model positive habits — including curiosity, health-minded living, and continuous learning — to support our culture of well-being. Support daily routines, outdoor exploration, and hands-on activities that connect learning to life. Provide thoughtful feedback and celebrate student progress and effort authentically.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
✔ Passion for child development, alternative education, and student autonomy. Read anything John Taylor Gatto or Maria Montessori and got hyped? Let's talk! ✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ✔ Ability to build trust and strong relationships with leaders and families. ✔ Team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute to community culture as well as entrepreneurial mindset, this is a career with endless possibilities. - We are structured to grow our micro-school-like Education Center in different ways, while keeping a small vibe.
Preferred:
⭐ Previous experience working with children (education, tutoring, mentoring, coaching) preferred. ⭐ Familiarity with Socratic methods, project-based learning, or Montessori-inspired environments. ⭐ College degree or relevant certification, especially in education, child development, or related fields is appreciated but not required with relevant real-life experience.
