after-school Work for New HYTEs this year teaching an entrepreneurship class to young urban teens! New Haven Youth Tennis and Education is a sports-based youth development organization providing tutoring, tennis, and enrichment through after school and summer programming to historically under-resourced students in New Haven, Connecticut. Our entrepreneurship class helps students gain confidence, creativity, and public speaking skills.

$250 per week
Duties:
Teach from 4:00-6:00 pm most Wednesdays from October
•May Plan and teach a 40-minute interactive entrepreneurship lesson to three small groups of middle schoolers each week Use our teaching materials and create additional materials as needed Help students prepare for our culminating Pitch Night event Desired qualities: Enjoys working with kids and teens Takes initiative and makes flexible decisions to meet students where they are Creates a fun environment while also providing firm direction and feedback Leads with positivity and energy Teaching experience preferred Do not have to be an expert in entrepreneurship
