Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Before & After-School Program Staff member, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during their after-school hours. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive development, encourage teamwork, and support children's growth through fun, educational activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in young lives while developing your skills in youth engagement and program management. Duties Supervise children during before and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor games, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play Assist with transportation logistics if needed, including supervising children during arrival and departure times Collaborate with team members to plan engaging youth programs that promote social skills and personal development Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or youth programs is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle outdoor activities safely Experience with special education or childhood development is a plus Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide young learners Passion for youth development, teaching, or childcare is essential This position is ideal for energetic individuals eager to inspire children through engaging activities while ensuring their safety. Pay:
$17.75 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 20.0 per week
