Duties Supervise children in a safe, caring environment during before and after school hours, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity, including arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater, or tutoring sessions. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and fun. Assist with homework help or tutoring to support academic development and reinforce classroom lessons. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during program hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas and ensure all equipment is used safely. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through individualized attention or collaboration with specialists. Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp counseling, tutoring, or babysitting is highly valued. Demonstrated skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques to foster a positive environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience with sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities that engage children's interests. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during program hours. Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with parents.
