KinderCare is seeking a dedicated Before and After School Teacher to support our program at Lancaster Elementary. In this role, you will supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, nurturing environment before and after regular school hours. You will plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and academic growth, while maintaining positive communication with families and school staff. Responsibilities Supervise children in before and after school programs at Lancaster Elementary Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Support students' social, emotional, and academic development Communicate regularly with parents and school staff Ensure adherence to Kinder Care and school policies and safety standards Assist with student arrival, dismissal, and transitions Observe and document student behaviors and participation Promote inclusion, respect, and positive behavior Participate in training and professional development opportunities Required Skills Classroom management Lesson planning Child supervision Early childhood education Behavior management Parent communication Basic first aid Activity facilitation Safety and compliance Record keeping
