Global Perspectives Teacher Location:
Mid Cape Global Academy, Cape Coral, Florida Position Summary:
The Global Perspectives Teacher will deliver the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum, fostering students' understanding of global issues and promoting awareness of diverse perspectives. The teacher will develop engaging lesson plans, facilitate hands-on learning experiences, and create an environment that encourages critical thinking and environmental awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Teach the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum to students, focusing on global issues and awareness. Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage students to explore and understand diverse perspectives. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on learning and learning centers, to engage students.
Global Issues and Awareness:
Introduce students to a wide range of global issues, including social, economic, environmental, and political topics. Promote awareness and understanding of different cultures and viewpoints. Encourage students to think critically about global challenges and their potential solutions.
Lesson Planning and Instruction:
Create detailed lesson plans that align with the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum. Incorporate interactive and experiential learning activities to enhance student engagement. Use learning centers and other resources to support differentiated instruction and skill development.
Environmental Awareness:
Integrate environmental education into the curriculum to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship. Organize activities and projects that raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage sustainable practices. Foster a classroom environment that values and respects the natural world.
Student Assessment and Support:
Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development. Offer additional support and resources to students as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop interdisciplinary projects. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in global education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field Valid teaching certification. Experience teaching the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum or similar programs. Strong knowledge of global issues and diverse perspectives. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans. Proficiency in using hands-on learning and learning centers. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Commitment to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. Effective collaboration and communication skills.
