Full Job Description Position Summary:
PCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teacher who is passionate about both science education and Christian discipleship. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore God's creation through scientific inquiry while integrating biblical truth into daily instruction and classroom life.
Responsibilities:
Design and follow a complete lesson plan. Plan instructional programs for the class in keeping with the school's curriculum. Use a variety of multi-sensory activities and instructional manipulatives to motivate and stimulate children's growth and God-given talents. Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary. Assess students' performance to ensure mastery of grade-appropriate skills. Monitor student's interactions, and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing. Cooperate with administration and staff.
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor's degree in given subject area and/or be certified in middle school science. Possess an ACSI or state-issued certification in middle school science. At least one year of full-time teaching experience at the middle school level. Proficient knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices. Creative teaching abilities. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
