Join the dynamic team at our afterschool program in the Tallahassee area Program-as a Driver/Staff Member and help us make a difference in the lives of children. We are seeking a dedicated individuals who has experience in Driving a 15 Passenger van and who is passionate about working with kids and committed to ensuring their safety and well-being as they travel to and from our program.Key Responsibilities :
Safe Transportation:
Ensure the safe transportation of children between schools, homes, and our program facility in a timely and responsible manner.Supervision and Safety:
Maintain a secure and friendly environment on the bus/vehicle by following all safety protocols and engaging positively with the children.Route Management:
Plan and adhere to efficient driving routes, ensuring timely pickup and drop-off schedules. Adjust routes as necessary to accommodate traffic, weather, or other conditions.Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it is in excellent operating condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the program director promptly.Communication:
Maintain open communication with program staff and parents, providing updates as needed regarding transportation schedules or any concerns.Support Program Activities:
Assist with the setup and supervision of afterschool activities when not driving, participating actively in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for all program attendees.
Compliance and Documentation:
Keep accurate records of transportation logs, attendance, and any incidents. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and program policies.Qualifications :
- Clean driving record with a strong focus on safety.
- Experience working with children is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules.
