S.T.E.A.M.

Ahead's STEAM Teacher is an organized, passionate individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. They have a background in education and have experience working with children in various contexts. Most importantly, they are a dynamic and engaging teacher, and will travel to teach STEAM classes across multiple locations per week. They can plan and develop curricula as well as follow lesson plans provided by Full STEAM Ahead. They have a broad range of responsibilities ranging from teaching, planning, and partnership development. Schedule The schedule and responsibilities for the Full STEAM Ahead STEAM Teacher vary with the school year. Their primary responsibilities take place during the school year as they teach the After School programs and homeschool programs on site at Full STEAM Ahead. Additionally, they may travel to partner schools and organizations to teach, while during breaks they help out on campus at Full STEAM Ahead to help with the extra staffing needs during school breaks. Summer

• 10-6pm (school year), 8-4pm (summer, winter) Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Education, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience as a teacher in a classroom setting Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills Knowledge of curriculum design and lesson planning Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Genuine passion for working with children and supporting community partners Availability to work a full-time, flexible schedule Reliable transportation Responsibilities Teaching STEM and/or Art Classes Outreach•community driven projects to increase access to STEAM programming IT support assistance After School Program Transportation + Teaching Homeschool STEAM programming + Teaching Expectations Passionate and caring teacher, excellent with kids Outstanding organization•keeping inventory of materials, maintain clear curricula and lesson plans Professional Dress Positive Demeanor Communication•Clearly and regularly communicate with FSA Leadership, partner school leadership, and parents to convey successes, failures, and growth opportunities Benefits Healthcare subsidy 401K match Free/discounted programs for children Paid holidays 2 weeks paid time off annually Transportation allowance (car payment, insurance, fuel, mileage) Annual raises Opportunities for additional pay with added responsibilities, such as running birthday parties
