We are seeking enthusiastic educators who are passionate about inspiring the next generation of learners. Position Summary HIVE Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Science Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore scientific concepts through engaging, hands-on lessons while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and academic achievement. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards. Foster inquiry-based learning through laboratory activities, experiments, and collaborative projects. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students. Assess student progress using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance. Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, and fellow teachers to improve student outcomes. Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into daily instruction. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field. Valid Florida Educator Certificate (Middle Grades Science or eligibility to obtain certification). Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with middle school students and promoting academic success.
Preferred:
Previous middle school science teaching experience. ESOL Endorsement and/or Reading Endorsement. Experience working in a charter school setting.
