Full Job Description Lead Teacher Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students in areas such as tutoring and math.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Supervise and monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- 45 DCF hours, CDA/AA/AS, or BA/BS degree Is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote active learning.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level.
- Physical fitness and the ability to participate in physical education activities with children.
