Job Description

Middle School Mathematics Teacher

05/19/2026 St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Miramar, Florida is looking to hire a qualified and experienced full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year that is passionate about math, who can help students learn and apply mathematical concepts. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school mathematics for grades 6-8. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Salary:
Commensurate with certification and years of experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Math Education required, master's degree in mathematics preferred. Florida Department of Education Teacher certificate in Mathematics 5-9; temporary or professional required. Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire. Must be knowledgeable in all levels of middle school math. Teaching experience preferred. Excellent classroom management and program organizational skills, excellent attendance ethics, and high level of professionalism. Proficiency is needed to use digital books and interactive classroom technology such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Database, Spreadsheet management, and digital gradebooks. Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good spelling and grammar are required. Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Knowledge of tenets of Catholic Church and parish structures. Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
