Afternoon VPK Teacher (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
Location:
The Learning Ladder Christian Preschool Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Position Overview The Afternoon VPK Teacher plays a vital role in extending the learning and care of our VPK students in a Christ-centered environment. This position focuses on reinforcing daily lessons through hands-on, play-based learning while nurturing each child spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered classroom environment Lead engaging, hands-on and play-based learning activities that connect to the day's earlier lessons Reinforce key academic concepts through creative exploration and guided play Support positive behavior using encouragement and age-appropriate discipline Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff Maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed classroom Ensure all licensing and safety standards are followed at all times Assist with student transitions, including snack time, centers, and end-of-day routines Qualifications DCF 45 Hours required (or willingness to complete within required timeframe) Previous experience working with preschool-aged children highly preferred Passion for early childhood education and child development Commitment to a Christ-centered teaching approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and organized Preferred Qualities Experience in childcare or education setting A heart for ministry and serving children and families Why Join Us?
