The Miami Children's Museum is seeking an energetic, dependable, and passionate Afterschool Instructor to join our team at Bunche Park Elementary School ! If you love working with children and enjoy hands-on activities, games, art, STEM, and creative learning, we'd love to meet you. Every afternoon is an opportunity to help students build confidence, discover new interests, and create memories they'll never forget. What You'll Be Doing Lead engaging afterschool activities in a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Plan fun weekly lessons using art, science, literacy, music, games, and hands-on learning. Encourage creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Build positive relationships with students while supporting their social and emotional development. Maintain classroom attendance and student accountability. Communicate with parents, teachers, and site staff to ensure student success. Help create an environment where every child feels welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Loves working with elementary-aged children. Has at least one year of experience leading groups of children. Is working toward an Associate's degree or higher in Education or has completed at least two years of college coursework. Has strong classroom management and communication skills. Is dependable, positive, and enjoys working as part of a team. Is CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified).
