Job Overview We are a Christian preschool and are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team specifically the After School teacher who has their CDA/staff credential. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young learners and preparing them for future academic success. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Our students are engaged in multiple formats of instruction to ensure that they grasp each lesson provided by our specific curricula. This provides a way for each child's progress to be monitored, which allows our teachers to provide differentiated lesson plans for every child in our attendance. We truly love creating an individualized and exciting space where every child falls in love with learning! Responsibilities Engage students in fun, hands on learning experiences. Ensure that students are safe and secure in a loving and nurturing environment. Coordinate and communicate effectively with teachers and administrators. Plan and conduct lessons that align with the provided teacher's curriculum. Build and maintain a inclusive classroom community with students and parents. Perform classroom management, including classroom safety. Perform regular classroom cleaning tasks. Diaper changing and potty training. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to share information about children's progress and address any concerns regarding development or behavior. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets health and safety regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education This position is for a lead teacher position. Hours are Monday through Friday; major holidays off; DCF 45 Hours is preferred for this position. CDA and VPK is a plus. Experience Proven experience in teaching physical education or related fields is preferred. Strong background in childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for preschool settings. Experience managing classrooms effectively, including behavior management strategies. Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support children's learning needs is a plus. A passion for working with children and creating a nurturing educational atmosphere is essential.
