We are looking for instructors who have a passion to help kids grow in their confidence, inspired to give back to the community and do meaningful work. Instructor would primarily lead after school enrichment sessions in their assigned school/s in Hillsborough County. Position is PART-TIME and depending on how many classes/schools are assigned, hours can vary between 5-15 hours a week . Times could range from 1:30pm to 5:00pm depending on the class time. There are also opportunities to teach at our center's after school programs or run birthday parties on the weekends at our center. Applicants MUST have teaching experience working in a group setting with children (babysitting does not count). Teaching experience is a must. PLEASE don't apply unless you meet these requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities of Girls & Boys With Confidence Instructor:
Facilitate a small group discussion with girls and/or boys 5-11 years old on topics with curriculum already created such as Being Brave, Girl Power, Friendships, Perfectionism and more. Be organized- arriving on time, knowing the curriculum ahead of time and being prepared with what games/ice breakers and crafts you will run that day (which are all provided and paid for by Girls & Boys With Confidence) Demonstrate excellent presentation skills - dynamic, energetic, and engaging Lead by example and foster a culture of learning, growth, and building confidence in young girls &/or boys Serve as a positive example by modeling attributes such as kindness, reliability, respect for others, inclusiveness, and a positive attitude Organize fun, interactive activities directly from the curriculum Must be high energy and enthusiastic Prepare, setup, breakdown of each workshop Prepare and organize for each class Must be a positive and strong leader and work collaboratively with your team Foster diversity by understanding, respecting, and embracing differences
