Starting at $17.00-22.00 per hour (depending on certifications/credentials)Expected Hours:
20 hours per weekSchedule:
Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM (with occasional special days from 7:30 AM
- 4:30 PM and 11:30 AM
- 6:00 PM)

At Shorecrest, we are dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and beautiful environment for our students, faculty, and staff. Our Preschool Extended Day Program offers after-school care to children ages 3-5, while our Lower School serves students in grades K-4, fostering a love of learning through engaging after-school activities that promote creativity, collaboration, and exploration.Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage with children ages 3-5 in the Extended Day Program and facilitate designated activities. Assist with handwashing, arts and crafts, indoor games, and outdoor play for students. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times. Take attendance, monitor classrooms, and assist with snack time. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and fun environment for all students. Follow and maintain health and safety requirements under the Pinellas County Licensing Board (PCLB) Rules and Regulations, Florida Department of Health, and Department of Children and Families.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or a background in early childhood education is preferred. Ability to manage a group of children in a dynamic environment. DCF certification or SMIC (Staff Credential) is preferred; we can provide DCF 40-hour training for those who need it. CPR/First Aid training preferred.Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Able to get down to the child's level Monitor children in classroom, playground, and other school areas Be able to come in contact with children who are ill/contagious Work primarily in a traditional climate controlledCLASSROOM
