Early Childhood Aftercare Rosarian Academy - 3.5 West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Full-time | Contract From $16 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Assisting with ADLs First Aid Certification Working with students Full Job Description Aftercare Teacher — Rosarian Academy Position Overview The Aftercare Teacher serves as a guide who directs and supervises student activities after the school day ends. The Aftercare Teacher is also responsible for helping maintain the operation of the aftercare classroom in accordance with Florida Department of Health guidelines and requirements.
Hours:
2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday This position reports to the Director of RITA, Afterschool and Summer Programs and follows the ten-month school year calendar. Additional summer opportunities are available for candidates seeking twelve-month employment. Responsibilities Supervise and engage students in structured and free-play activities Supervise children on the playground Change diapers and assist with toilet training if in the one- and two-year-old programs Assist with student pickup and dismissal Maintain order and cleanliness of the learning environment Work collaboratively and productively with other staff members Qualifications Experience in childcare preferred CPR and First Aid certification Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with young children Organized, flexible, and team-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move about for prolonged periods Ability to repetitively bend and kneel Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds Ability to push a stroller Ability to work in an environment involving a wide variety of challenges and a diverse array of contacts Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a person with a disability to perform the essential functions of this position. Rosarian Academy is a Dominican Catholic school serving students from toddler through Grade 8. All employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening and safe environment training requirements.
